🇬🇧 Pound Sterling Live forecasts EUR/GBP drifting higher in the week of 21 September as softer oil erodes GBP's yield support, with gains expected to be shallow
EUR/GBP opened the week of 21 September having reversed the rise to 0.8610 that followed the Bank of England's 17 September decision
EUR/GBP's 100-day moving average has flattened after falling through spring and summer, turning it from trend resistance into a pivot that pulls the market back towards it
A daily close beneath 0.8541, the 14 September low, would put EUR/GBP's decline back on track
Pound Sterling Live's medium-term forecast is for the decline in EUR/GBP since November 2025 to reassert itself, but that requires the 28 October Budget to pass without incident
EUR/GBP has tended to fall as oil rises since the Middle East conflict began, a sign the market reads the eurozone as more exposed to energy costs than the UK
