🇬🇧 Pound Sterling Live forecasts EUR/GBP's downtrend holding, with oversold conditions more likely to bring a shallow bounce or consolidation than a reversal
KBC: EUR/GBP slipped through its 2026 troughs to 0.8446 on 12 October, with EUR suffering from a deteriorating technical picture
KBC: energy has taken over from France's fiscal narrative as EUR's main weight, with Brent above $106 a barrel and European gas retesting multi-year highs
Rabobank: EUR net shorts have risen to almost 100,000 contracts, the highest since February 2020
ING: aside from USD, GBP is favoured in G10, with the Bank of England looking set to hike after all and warmer UK-EU relations a potential reward for GBP
📊 EUR/GBP sits about 1% below its 21-day moving average, a stretch that tends to close through a bounce or consolidation
Any EUR/GBP bounce is likely to meet first resistance near 0.8511, ahead of the falling 21-day average near 0.8535
Société Générale: a break of 0.8450 is the trigger for a EUR/GBP move towards 0.8405 and then 0.8370, with a daily close beneath it needed to confirm
