GBP favoured over SA Rand in all time frames
The short-term outlook (2-6 week timeframe) continues to favour the British pound over the Rand; we see 7 bullish events dominating 2 bearish events on the GBP/ZAR chart.
All bullish events were formed since the 2nd of January; momentum now opens the way for 16.0 on GBP/ZAR to be tested once again.
However, the charts show resistance must be overcome at 15.41 first.
The intermediate-term picture (6 weeks to 9 months) is more balanced with 3 bearish events being weighed out by 3 bull events, solid support is seen at 13.9468 while resistance to further gains is once again noted at 15.41.
Long-term (more than 9 months) the outlook favours the British pound. We see 3 bullish events outweighing the bears for this timeframe, we could be at the start of the next leg higher for this pair.
